A quick halloween tale I've been working on between classes hope you like it
"good night Suzy hope you had a good time" the young man said as his date was stepping out. "It was a wonderful time Brad" Suzy replied as she walked up to her suburban home."I'm home" she called out... No answer "hello"? Again no response"mother,father are you home?" strange suzy thought to herself "both there coats are here".As Suzy moved toward the kitchen the she heard what seems like water,what Suzy imagined as water pure as a newborn child is actually the once scarlet broth of life darkened by age and exposure .Suzy wanted to scream but the pile of skin and bones leaning agents the sink that was once her mother took the air from her lungs. Turing away from the grisly scene she ran to her fathers office praying that the police will be on the line. Opening the door Suzy did not find the salvation she was looking for instead a scene from hell played out before her. Her father laided out on the floor torso open vertically organs in every which direction. Currently feasting on her fathers open rib cage was what appeared to be an older man gray hair receding from his head and clothed in a dark grey business suit that seemingly hung from his bones.This time a sound escaped,a sound of despair, terror and regret powerful enough to shake the pillars of the underworld and tear the creature from the shredded corpse of her father. The gaunt figure turned around to examine its new prey, within the hollow cavity of its eye sockets Suzy heard her own screams echo back. In the starless night a tall shadow slinks away from a seemingly normal home joining other tall shadows as they wander to whatever refugee they came from be it hell or some similar land as the sun rises heralding the new morning.
